When Rihanna released her song called Work, we thought it was just another amazing piece by a remarkably talented singer who can do no wrong especially when it comes to making music.

But perhaps Rihanna was actually trying to tell all of us that she is working all the time, considering the fact that she is busy not only in making songs but also running her own brands.

According to reports, Rihanna is only 31 years of age. While many of you may not know this, but her full name is actually Robyn Rihanna Fenty.

She had started off her career with music, but then slowly morphed into also being an icon for personal style as well as an entrepreneur in the cosmetics industry.

She then moved on to launch her own clothing line, firmly establishing herself as the first woman of color to own as well as operate a major fashion brand that made luxury clothing.

A Fortune

Since Rihanna is a singer as well as an entrepreneur, and as she is excelling in both, it only makes sense that her personal net worth is equally impressive. According to reported figures, apparently, Rihanna is currently sitting on top of wealth measuring $600 million, which is more than any other female music artist in the entire world.

For comparison, a few big names in the music industry such as Madonna, Celine Dion, as well as Beyonce, have not been able to cross this figure, with the closest one being Madonna as she reportedly enjoys a fortune worth a staggering $570  million.

When Rihanna was launching her Fenty Beauty collection, she made the very wise decision of entering into a partnership with the luxury goods retail brand in France called LVMH. The makeup series had been launched sometime in September 2017 and was made available at all Sephora stores around the country.

This was done because Sephora is also owned by LVMH. Fenty Beauty products had also been made available for purchase online. Eventually, the brand kicked off, largely due to Rihanna’s star power, bringing in an impressive $100 million within a few weeks of its launch.

Personal Care Is Booming

Although part of Fenty Beauty’s success lies in the fact that Rihanna has a massive fan following, the other part is that American’s have become very open to trying out new skincare products, including and especially makeup.

Grand View Research has estimated that the industry comprising of personal care products could balloon up to a massive $200 billion by 2025 with respect to sales, which is an impressive increase from the $130 billion this industry generated back in 2016.

Historically, it has been difficult for personal care products to make a name for themselves in the industry largely due to the expensive marketing required in the past.

But now, due to the availability of social media, celebrities like Kylie Jenner are able to access millions of their followers without having to pay a single dime, which has helped them build up massive cosmetic brands in the past few years.
