Teaching with Confidence and Joy

After earning their degrees, Abby and Brittany began their teaching careers at an elementary school in New Brighton, Minnesota. Assigned to teach fourth and fifth graders, they focused on math. Although they each held separate teaching licenses, they agreed to share one salary, feeling it was fair since they were performing the work of one person.

Initially nervous about how students might respond, they were relieved by the warmth and acceptance they received. Their anxieties faded as they embraced their new roles. With enthusiasm, they embarked on their journey as teachers, ready to inspire and leave a meaningful mark on their students’ lives.
