Sir Ian McKellen is a British Cultural Icon with considerable experience enacting Shakespearean Plays earlier on in his career – King Lear, Macbeth, The Tempest, and The Seagull to name but a few. Even at 82, theatre beckons him with a titular role in Hamlet.

Having won several prestigious awards, McKellen thrived on acting in movies and considered the pandemic-induced lockdown in 2020 as enforced retirement. Hence, he chose to work in Infinitum, which was shot on the phone.
