Robby Benson – Dallas, 67
If you ever had posters of celebrity crushes adorning your bedroom walls during the 1970s, Robby Benson likely graced your space. Robby’s path to teen idol status was set after he appeared in “Ice Castles.” His fame reached new heights as he continued acting in movies and TV for decades, even achieving recognition as the voice actor behind the Beast’s character in the 1991 animated musical fantasy film “Beauty and the Beast.”
Beyond his heartthrob image and Disney role, he pursued filmmaking passionately. He transitioned to a film professor at UCLA, NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and Indiana University. In 2016, he retired from Indiana University to prioritize family and writing endeavors.
