Judi Dench – York, 86

Judi Dench has established a reputation as one of the greatest actresses in Britain’s history and beyond, primarily through her work in theatre. Judi’s initial contact with acting came through her parents when her father served as a general practitioner for the York Theatre. During that period, actors stayed in their house, so began a dalliance with acting and, it wasn’t long before Judi joined them.

Although today the Oscar-winning actress is in her late 80s, she has no plans of retiring yet. Especially not after achieving so much in the film industry. Dame Dench’s most recent project was the 2020 British comedy film Blithe Spirit.
