Rupert Murdoch is a leading name in the media industry. He’s an Australian-American media tycoon, a billionaire businessman, and the owner of some of the most significant national and international news publications in Australia, the UK, and the US.

Appearing in all the world’s richest indexes today, Murdoch started by inheriting a small Adelaide newspaper called ‘The News’ from his father in 1952. Throughout the ’50s and ’60s, the businessman kept acquiring different newspapers in Australia. He then expanded to the UK in 1969 and later the US. Currently, his company ‘News Corp’ owns hundreds of publications, news media, and cable television.
