Ray Meagher: Roma, Queensland – 77

The Australian actor Ray Meagher started his career with minor roles on television in the early ‘70s, his first few years in the industry being struggling ones. He landed upon more regular work in TV series following ‘A Country Practice.’

Meagher is best known for his character as Alf Stewart on ‘Home and Away.’ He is still active on it today ever since he joined in 1988. Interestingly, he’s the only one left with the series from the original cast, making him the longest-running performer in an Australian TV series. While, we don’t know about any other projects, this alone seems to bring the actor enough wealth and joy.
