Building Character From a Young Age
Few people know it, but Elin’s parents are public figures in her native Sweden. Her mother, Barbro Holmberg, is a former Governor and asylum policy minister, while her father, Thomas Nordegren, works as a journalist and writer. She also has two siblings: a twin sister and an older brother who never stepped into the spotlight.
While Elin’s mom and dad were pretty successful back in Sweden, they never made it too easy for their children. Elin and her twin sister were forced to work menial summer jobs to finance their studies. It was tough, but it helped them build character and understand the importance of hard work.
