Gender reveal parties have become a thing now; floaty balloons, aesthetic design elements, and color-coordinated clothes have become a big part of Instagram and other social media domains. This is when mommy and daddy reveal the gender of their unborn child to enthusiastic friends and family. They pick on their fancy foods with amiable looks on their faces waiting for the big gender reveal.

However, while pink has been associated with a girl and blue with a boy, here, the color chosen is entirely different, sending confusing signals to the guests. However, we think that this is a progressive way to do gender reveals; what’s color got to do with gender?
