Anok Yai, Met Gala 2023 – Prabal Gurung

Anok Yai, a top model renowned for her stunning features and trailblazing presence, dazzled at the Met Gala 2023. She rose to fame after a photo of her at Howard University’s homecoming went viral, catapulting her into the fashion world. She has since worked with major brands like Prada, becoming the first Sudanese model to open a Prada show.

At the Met, Anok chose an Atelier Prabal Gurung creation that shimmered with oxidized gold and silver, featuring hand-embroidered sequin paillettes. The unique pannier shape, adorned with a bugle-beaded fringe, flowed into a sheer, silk tulle mermaid skirt, creating a stunning illusion of cascading beads.
