Anne Charleston – Age 78, Emmerdale

Anne Charleston made an excellent decision playing the character of Madge Bishop in the soap opera ‘Neighbours’ because she performed spectacularly on the show and attained international recognition, like a Penguin Award for Best Actress in 1987. The near octogenarian also wowed fans when she took up the role of Lilly Butterfield in the British soap ‘Emmerdale.’

Anne is of Irish descent, was born and raised in Australia, and lived and worked extensively in the UK.
