Tom Oliver – Age 83, Neighbours
British-born Australian retired actor Tom Oliver started as a theatre performer in the UK before relocating to Australia, where he encountered greener pastures. Police dramas such as ‘Cop Shop’ and ‘Matlock Police’ propelled him to fame and led to his notable roles, such as playing Jeff Sellers on ‘Number 96’ from 1972.
Another life-changing role that fans will never forget Tom for is joining the cast of ‘Neighbours’ in 1988 as the scheming used-car salesman Lou Carpenter. The star remained in the show for a whopping twenty-four years! After retirement, the octogenarian spends time with his wife Jan Oliver and enjoys mountain fishing and gardening.
