A mother fox is in a situation in what can only be described as the peak of parental exhaustion. Surrounded by her boisterous little ones, she looks like she’s reconsidering every decision that led to this moment, it’s as if she’s muttering a silent plea for bedtime.

Meanwhile, the kits are completely oblivious to their mom’s struggle as they wrestle and jostle for the best spot at the milk bar. For foxes, raising a litter can be chaotic—especially when they have up to five or six kits at a time. Judging by her expression, this mom is counting the days until they’re ready to hunt on their own!
