A Life of Crime
Miller’s life went on a downward spiral after the Sam Cooke concert in 1964. He had a criminal record due to the incident at the concert, and things just spiraled out of control from then on. He began to indulge in all sorts of illegal activities, from lifting purses to stealing people’s mail. According to him, he got bolder with each crime he committed.
These minor crimes were the norm for him because he got immediate access to some money that he constantly needed. He did different small crimes to get by, but they would all come at a very high cost.
