The History of Walter Miller

There was Walter Miller before Bobby Love existed. Walter Miller was a totally different person who grew up in Northern Carolina in the 1960s. Miller described his childhood as being very ordinary. His mother raised him and his seven other siblings, and she managed to make it work despite not having much money.

Since he had so many other siblings, it was hard to give everyone an equal amount of attention. From his description, it was apparent Miller was one of the children who didn’t get much attention. His mother did her best, but raising eight children mustn’t have been easy.
