The year 2018 was a massive one for Russia as it hosted the 21st FIFA World Cup, and France went home with the tournament after defeating Croatia 4-2 in the finals. The competition took place in 11 locations and ended with the championship game in Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium. Approximately one billion people watched the game, and this cheerful woman was proudly one of them.

Russia began with a 5-0 thrashing of Saudi Arabia and finished with a 2-2 tie with Croatia. They fell against the country of Southeast Europe 4-3 on penalties. However, the country still showed its tenacity by advancing against all odds to the event’s quarterfinal round.
