Portugal
In 1966, Portugal participated in its first World Cup competition and finished third, which has since remained their most remarkable performance. In 2006, the team surprised everyone by finishing fourth after losing to then-host Germany. Unfortunately, things turned south in the 2010 season after Spain beat the team in the round of 16.
Pictured here is a radiant Portuguese fan cheering at one of the mind-blowing matches between her country and Spain in the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Luckily, she went home happy after Cristiano Ronaldo, the country’s favorite, scored a hat-trick against the Spaniards, despite the latter team’s extensive experience in the game.
