Brazil
Don’t be confused about the name Brasil as it’s the Portuguese version of Brazil, a South American football powerhouse that hosted the 20th edition of the FIFA World Cup in 2014. During that time, these were the scenes of elated girls and women rallying behind their nation.
Their enthusiasm was, however, dampened by the country’s failure to procure the trophy on home soil, finishing fourth after its 3-0 loss to the Netherlands. The worst result they lived to see in that tournament was a 7-1 semi-final mauling by Germany, which went on to lift the trophy. Argentina was the unfortunate 1-0 loser in the final.
