Shane Withington is a popular name among Australian television fans, with a long career behind him. He entered the television industry in the late ’70s and is still actively attached to television. His latest running project is the much-watched tv-series ‘Home and Away.’

His most notable performances have been in the series ‘A Country Practice,’ ‘Willing and Abel,’ and ‘The Family Business.’ Despite over 40 years in the media industry, he never expanded his wings towards the theatre or film industry, apart from appearing in several films. Withington is actively involved in heritage conservation outside the media industry and acts as the spokesperson for the ‘Fleet Street Heritage Precinct.’
