Richard Stilgoe: Camberley, Surrey – 78
Coming from a small town in Surrey, Richard Stilgoe showed his musical talents from an early age. He went on to become a famed musician, lyricist, and songwriter. What’s particularly impressive though, is his talent to create humorous songs, and that’s how he rose to prominence writing comedic songs for the BBC television program ‘Nationwide’ and magazine-style TV series, ‘That’s life.’
Thanks to his keen interest in puzzles Stilgoe was chosen to host several quiz shows. In addition, the musician has done a lot of charity work, founding his charity by the name ‘Alchemy Foundation,’ funded by the royalties from his American productions ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ and ‘Starlight Express.’
