John Bucchino: Philadelphia – 69

It’s been more than two decades since the release of John Bucchino’ s ‘Grateful’ album that catapulted him to success. The album had theater composer Stephen Schwartz offer the ‘Solitude Lessons’ singer a chance to write for Broadway, changing Bucchino’s life.

Not only would the self-trained pianist and composer get recognition through the highly coveted Johnny Mercer Songwriter Award, but he would soon also start getting invitations to give music masterclasses in different universities across the US, France, and Australia. You would think that with his last official release being in 2003, no one would care about Bucchino’s music, but he still puts up concerts that are often sold out.
