Robyn Nevin: Melbourne, Australia – 79
Australian actress and director Robyn Nevin came from a conservative family in Melbourne. Her acting talents became apparent when she was just a schoolgirl, and recognizing her passion early, she entered the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 1959.
Although Nevin has played a few roles on television and film, the theater has always been her home ground, a space where she comfortably rules the stage. Her best work includes theater plays like ‘Women of Troy’ and ‘Summer of the Seventeenth Doll.’ Nevin also headed the Queensland Theatre Company and the Sydney Theatre Company in the ’90s. The actress is still actively appearing on various television productions.
