Gladys Knight & William McDowell – Together For 19 Years
Gladys Knight’s voice may not be something we hear very often these days, but the “Empress of Soul” is still alive and kicking at 76. She is so close to celebrating two decades of marriage with her handsome (and much younger) husband, William McDowell. It’s her fourth marriage, and it’s proving that age is just a number in love.
In 1952, Knight co-founded Gladys Knight & the Pips, which earned her major success. Somehow, she managed to keep multiplying her fan base as a solo artist too. We will always remember her for her biggest hits like Midnight Train to Georgia, and That’s What Friends Are For.
