Sarah took the investigator’s advice and got to work immediately. First, she drafted a beautiful letter to her family, introducing herself and explaining her intentions. It was a brave move, and Sarah had guts putting herself out there like that.

The ball was now in their court, and all she could do was wait to hear from her father’s family. Anything could happen; they might not reply, they might reply rudely, or the response would be highly positive, and everything works out for the best. Sarah had also included her phone number too so if there was no feedback, she’d have her answer.
