Teenager Jack Surgenor probably wasn’t expecting to find himself in the midst of royal protocol. So he decided to take a momento with Queen Elizabeth during her Belfast visit. With his phone raised high and an air of confidence, he aimed for the ultimate photo-op.
While the Queen herself maintained her calm composure, the group around her appeared mostly indifferent to the teenager’s audacity. It’s almost as if they were used to the occasional breach of protocol by well-meaning tourists. Jack, probably more excited than anyone, was caught in a moment of boldness, clearly unaware of the royal reserve. We certainly admire his audacity.
