Cut Ginger, Not Yourself
Ginger is one of the hardest herbs to peel, and this is no thanks to the hollow points and crannies often found in it. The task of having to run a knife over every surface so as not to miss a trace of skin is quite demanding. Since ginger is often peeled with hands close to the knife, it’s easy to get injured in the process.
That’s why it’s safer and more efficient to use a teaspoon instead. Ginger has delicate skin, so you don’t need very sharp edges to be able to get it off. A teaspoon would do.
