Elvis Presley – $940K, Memphis, Tennessee
Back in 1957, Elvis Presley sought out to find a place to call home. He wound up purchasing this beautiful property for just $102,500! At today’s rate, this amount of money translates to $940,300. It was built in 1939 and is known as Graceland. It has been operating as a museum, open to the public, since 1982.
At some point, the family trust was worth up to $100 million. After all, it’s the place in which Elvis lived, died, and is buried (in the garden). It’s a two-story house with a basement. A total of 23 rooms spread over the 17,552 square feet of interior. Lisa Marie, Elvis’s daughter, assumed its ownership in 1993.
