Steven Gerrard and Alex Curran – Married For 14 Years

Steven Gerrard was already creating his mark in football when he got together with his wife Alex Curran in 2002. Still, despite his status, he earnestly wooed Curran by visiting her at her mum’s house. The model and fashion columnist described the meetings as awkward yet pointed out she knew Gerrard was the one.

Interestingly, they welcomed their first child even before Gerrard proposed. It was pretty sweet; when the pair got back from the hospital, Curran found a ring tucked under her daughter’s blanket. They tied the knot the same day the footballer’s teammates Gary Neville and Michael Carrick also wedded their wives – June 16, 2007.
