The operation was done as a preventive measure as the Maleficent star has a high risk of getting breast cancer. The procedure was followed by a reconstruction procedure that reportedly included implants.
The decision was supported by her former husband, Brad Pitt, at the time. Unfortunately, the estranged pair aren’t seeing eye to eye these days.
