We know Mariska Hargitay best for portraying Detective Olivia Benson in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (SVU), a role she’s held from 1999 to this date. She’s also appeared in some big-screen productions, including Lake Placid, The Love Guru, and the 2017 documentary I Am Evidence. 

Hargitay tied the knot with Peter Hermann in 2004, after they met on the set of Law & Order: SVU. They welcomed their son August Miklos Friedrich in June 2006, and in April 2011, they adopted Amaya Josephine. Their family grew the same year when they adopted their son Andrew Nicolas Hargitay in October 2011.
