Aretha Franklin – Lost 25 Lbs
The late soul songstress Aretha Franklin was happy to tell Jet Magazine about her weight loss. The legend dropped 25 pounds back in 2011 after an undisclosed surgery, according to The Daily Mail. While numerous rumors were in circulation, Aretha never confirmed what it was for.
Aretha attributes her weight loss to opting for healthy foods that are free from chemical treatment. She also swapped unhealthy things for alternatives like salads for at least three to four days out a week and couldn’t stress the importance of drinking enough water. In 2020, Jennifer Hudson was announced to be playing Aretha in the highly awaited upcoming biopic.
