Annie Lennox, 69, The Lord of the Rings- $30 Million

Although she was already making music in the ’70s with the new wave band The Tourists, the ’80s was when fans saw the rise of Annie Lennox. Through the synthpop duo Eurythmics, composed of her and fellow musician Dave Stewart, the Scottish singer-songwriter gave us hits like Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This).

Apart from her music, Lenox is also distinguished for her social activism and philanthropy. The now 66-year-old musician, appointed OBE by Queen Elizabeth II in 2011 because of her charitable works, has raised funds and awareness towards HIV/AIDS through the years.
