Actually, this photo is doctored, and the pilot, Daniel Centeno from Brazil, hasn’t actually left the runway. He’s superimposed a selfie taken on terra firma onto a background he likes. It is actually safe to open cockpit windows, though. But at low altitudes and with depressurized cabins. Those windows actually open to provide an emergency escape route for pilots.
