The English “crooner” singer Tony Christie enjoyed a big comeback in 2015 when his hit song “(Is This The Way To) Amarillo” was featured on Peter Kay’s Comic Relief. That same year, he gave an interview to Express and discussed his troubling pain medication addiction.

An ever-healthy man, Christie was dealing with depression and other serious side effects in the aftermath of an on-stage accident that severely damaged his hip. He’s fortunately realized the impact pain meds were having on his life and has since come clean. He’s looking better than ever now, and he’s fully ready to go back to work!
