Most people may not tell by this picture, but it’s actually a photo of Abbie Hoffman, of the Chicago Seven. He was a political activist and an anarchist, and of course, he wouldn’t miss out on the chance to witness the best concert of his lifetime.
According to a story reported by various sources, Abbie went on stage at around 5:30 AM that Sunday, while The Who were performing. He grabbed the mic and gave a speech about John Sinclair’s arrest. Eventually, he was almost dragged off the stage by Pete Townshend, the band’s guitarist.
