What would a flower child be without flowers? This lady isn’t just holding a bouquet in her hands, but she’s even dressed in a flower-patterned shirt! Judging from the fact that she’s by the side of an almost empty road, she was probably trying to catch a ride, either before or after the festival.

Maybe she was simply trying to trade the flowers in exchange for a ticket. Even though $18 doesn’t sound like a lot for a three-day festival, it’s actually closer to $128 in today’s terms. The crowds would soon overwhelm the not-so-many people minding Woodstock’s gates, and people would just enter free of charge.
