There is no doubt as to how much of an epic event Woodstock was. However, clearly, there are always two sides to every story. However, this weekend has made its mark in rock ‘n’ roll history. Further away from the 600-acre farm, however, people were worried about the festival’s effect on the small community of Bethel.
The attendees may have had a great time, but at what cost? It turns out that New York’s governor, Nelson Rockefeller, wound up declaring Woodstock a disaster area. However, in the long run, the area is still receiving millions of tourists a year because of the festival.
