The Aftermath

The festival itself might have been perfect, but the aftermath was far from it. After an over three-day long party attended by around 500,000 people, we can imagine that there was a lot of cleaning up to do, and this picture proves us right. That Monday, Yasgur’s property resembled more of a landfill than a farm.

We have trouble cleaning up after a house party, let alone after a three-day festival. Yasgur’s farm wasn’t looking great surely, but eventually, he could retrieve it to its former state. The organizers, on the other hand, couldn’t have a second festival the following year.
