Woodstock’s Livestock

It was reported that Max Yasgur even received threats while the festival was occurring. Thankfully his supporters were far more than the saboteurs. Yasgur was a man who valued his ethics more than he did his pocket. He was even kind enough to offer festivalgoers free food and water.

This picture depicts just that. It would be safe to say that if such an event were to go on today, it would have been filled with its sponsors’ products. However, Woodstock offered its attendees fresh cow’s milk from a creature treated with appreciation.
