Peter Dean – EastEnders – Age 81

Peter Dean’s departure from EastEnders was the subject of controversy. Appearing as one of the soap’s original characters from 1985 to the early ‘90s, Pete Beale, he admitted in 2018 that he might have left due to a feud with co-star Leslie Grantham, who played Den Watts.

Dean’s post-EastEnders career was moderately successful but he never found another recurring role in any British shows again and hasn’t appeared in anything since the 2016 TV movie Nearly New. What’s more, it seems like he still has a chip on his shoulder and criticized the BBC One soap for being “too miserable” and having too many characters in 2020.
