Stephen McGann – Emmerdale – Age 58

Stephen McGann is one impressive man. And it’s not just because of his work in TV shows like Emmerdale and Streetwise. He’s a science communicator and has written extensively about medical accuracy in the media. For his contributions to the field, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Liverpool in 2019.

McGann balances his academic career with acting to this day. You can expect to see him in the BBC period drama Call the Midwife’s upcoming tenth season. Initially postponed, the beloved series is set to come back to the small screen at a still-unspecified date after production wrapped up in 2021.
