Shirley Cheriton – EastEnders – Age 65
Shirley Cheriton was part of the original Eastenders cast in the ‘80s but only stayed on the soap for two years. She played Debbie Wilkins, a character that stood out from the rest of the working-class residents of Albert Square due to her posh tastes.
Cheriton reportedly left her husband to pursue a relationship with Ross Davidson, who played her on-screen boyfriend on the soap. She went on to star in a couple of TV programs after leaving EastEnders with the last one being FM in 2009. She hasn’t appeared on the small screen since.
