Julie Goodyear – Coronation Street – Age 78
Coronation Street has seen dozens of actors come and go over its six-decade run. Few of them were as memorable as Julie Goodyear, though. For 25 years, she charmed British TV viewers with her portrayal of the leopard print-wearing landlady Bet Lynch. Goodyear’s work led to the character being considered to be among the greatest to come out of the soap.
She continues to bring honor to the show that made her famous to this day. In 2020, she donated several pieces of her personal jewelry collection, which included accessories she wore on Corrie, for a fundraiser. The auction benefited Willow Wood Hospice.
