Bruce Jones – Coronation Street – Age 68

Bruce Jones is a talented man, no doubt, but his lifelong struggle with alcohol has led to plenty of setbacks in his career. In fact, his drinking habits led to his termination from Coronation Street in 2007 after a decade of playing Les Battersby.

In 2020, he appeared in the Netflix docuseries, The Ripper, where he talked about finding the body of one of the Yorkshire Ripper’s victims as a young man. Recalling the horrifying experience, Jones said that his drinking problem began as a coping mechanism due to the trauma that plagued him after.
