Sue Nicholls – Coronation Street – Age 77

For Sue Nicholls, the set of Coronation Street wasn’t just a workplace. It was where she met her late husband, Mark Eden, who sadly passed away in 2021. Her time on the cobbles also saved her from a life-threatening condition.

It all started in 2011 when a Corrie viewer spotted a strange mole on Nicholls’ shoulder. After being informed via email, she was referred to a specialist who confirmed that she had melanoma, a type of skin cancer, and promptly got it removed. A decade later, she’s a healthy seventysomething and still starring as Audrey Roberts in the ITV soap.
