Thelma Barlow – Coronation Street – Age 91

We can’t blame fans who still associate actress Thelma Barlow with her character Mavis Wilton in the long-running soap opera Coronation Street because she played the part for 26 years! The 91-year-old last graced Weatherfield in 1997 and has since moved on with other projects.

Many die-hard supporters of the ITV show would love to see Barlow come back, even if it meant only making a cameo. However, the nonagenarian seemed firm that she was done with the role when she revealed in a 2020 interview that she doesn’t know how to portray Mavis anymore.
