Steven Arnold – Coronation Street – Age 46

Soaps take their anniversaries seriously. Coronation Street certainly did when it marked its 50th year on TV in 2010. Unfortunately, Steven Arnold, who played butcher Ashley Peacock for 15 years, was among the casualties of the show’s explosive tram crash storyline.

Fortunately, his ill fate in the Corrie world didn’t follow him after he left. Arnold has starred in a long list of projects since including several TV shows and short movie appearances. In 2020, he starred in the miniseries Thick as Thieves. Arnold also appeared as Captain Hook in a stage production of Peter Pan in the same year.
