Cristina María Saralegui de Ávila, or simply Cristina Saralegui, is an inspiration for many Latin girls who want to make a career in broadcast journalism. The charismatic television personality launched her own show, “El show de Cristina,” on Univision and went on to become the undisputed queen of Latin media.
Cuban-born Saralegui, who is one of the most influential Latin women in the USA, has also appeared in English-language sitcoms and TV shows, such as “Passions.” A septuagenarian now, Saralegui is in the pink of her health. She lives happily with her second husband, Marcos Ávila, their stepdaughter Stephanie, and son Marcos in Miami Beach.
