Johnny Briggs, 85, Born In 1935 – Coronation Street

The long-running show Coronation Street, which revolves around the citizens of Weatherfield and their daily lives, has had many incredible cast members in previous years. One of those was Johnny Briggs, who bid farewell to the show in 2006 after portraying Mike Baldwin from 1979.

However, unlike other stars who fully retired after their Corrie stint, Briggs went on to join other shows, including Holby City, Echo Beach, and Doctors. The 85-year-old last performed in 2009 and seemed to have retreated from fame. His name, however, did pop up in October 2019 when his daughter was arrested.
