Duncan Preston, 74, Born In 1946 – Dinnerladies

In 2002, the University of Bradford awarded English actor Duncan Preston an honorary Doctor of Letters degree to underline his contributions to the industry. Active since the ’60s and has at least 50 credits to his name, there’s no doubt that the 74-year-old deserves the merit.

Best known for playing Stan in Dinnerladies and Mr. Clifford in the Acorn Antiques musicals, Preston has yet to think about retirement. From 2007 to 2020, the Bradford native has appeared in the show Emmerdale Farm as Douglas Potts. As to what’s next for the legend, we’ll wait and see.
